Ranney Student Selected for the Young Women's Leadership Institute

Elizabeth Roberts ’15 (Ocean) has been selected to participate in the upcoming year-long Young Women’s Leadership Institute. The institute, open to 11th grade females, focuses on topics such as self-esteem, anti-bullying and other major problems plaguing high schools across the country. In addition, the institute offers participants a chance to have a one-on-one meeting with Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, the Commissioner of the Department of Community Affairs, several members of the General Assembly and Monmouth County Superior Court Judges. Only 12 students in the county are selected to participate each year. Elizabeth, the incoming Student Council President for 2014-2015, is the second Ranney School student in the past two years to be selected for this program; senior Giulia DiGuglielmo participated in 2013-2014.
