Middle School Announces End-of-Year Athletic Awards

Spring sports team players were honored along with year-end athletes.
The Middle School division celebrated its spring 2015 sports season as well as year-end honors on June 8, 2015. Coaches shared season records and special plays with the audience while honoring student athletes who participated on spring baseball, lacrosse, softball, tennis, and track and field teams. All players received a certificate. The following year-long awards were also given to eighth-graders, unless otherwise noted by grade:
  
Blue and White Awards (presented to the male and female Middle School student-athletes who have demonstrated sportsmanship, leadership, self-discipline, cooperation and enthusiasm throughout his/her Middle School career): Shana Fitzmaurice and Sathya Edamadaka
 
Panther Pride Awards (presented to a male and female Middle School athlete for his or her outstanding contributions to the athletic department): Jack Crilly and Katherine Geraghty
 
Sportsmanship Awards (presented to a student-athlete from each of the three Middle School classes who exhibits outstanding sportsmanship):
6th: Brooke Schmeltz and Maximilian Croke
7th: Victoria Tager-Geffner and Rahul Sobti
8th: Himani Nayyar and Benjamin Krauschaar
 
Athletic Director's Awards (presented to Middle School athletes who demonstrate a love and dedication for sports and display an enormous amount of effort to
succeed in athletics): Jane Mallach ‘20 and Ethan Gavin
 
Outstanding Athletes (presented to the male and female Middle School student-athlete who best demonstrates dedication and commitment to performing well): Scottie Lewis and Maggie Rustico
