Middle Schooler Publishes Writings and Artwork

The works of Lily Egol, Class of 2022, appear in Cricket magazine.
The original artwork and writings of sixth-grader Lily Egol (Holmdel) have been published in three separate issues of Cricket magazine, a national literary magazine for children ages 9-14. Lily’s first-prize story about a courageous character appeared in the July/August 2015 issue and her second-prize poem about a wild animal appeared in the September 2015 issue. Her dolphin sketch won Honorable Mention and appeared in the October 2015 issue. Lily created the sketch as part of Mrs. Levine’s Lower School art class last year—the art served as inspiration for her poem.

Copies of the magazines are available in the Searle Library.
