Vocal Students Audition and Perform Across New Jersey

Ranney chorus members are set to take on All States this month through a variety of events.
On Friday, November 6, Evan Schultz ’17 will represent Ranney as part of the All State Mixed Chorus Concert in Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, at 8:30 p.m. Evan has been preparing for this concert with students from around the state since June 2014 - she is the first Ranney student to be accepted into the All State Chorus.

On Sunday, November 15, Evan will again perform with the All State Mixed Chorus & All State Orchestra at Prudential Hall, NJPAC, Newark, at 3 p.m.

On Saturday, November 21, Evan, along with Kat Allen '17, Karl Brand '16 and Samantha Riebesell '19 will be at the All Shore Chorus Auditions at Wall High School. Karl and Evan were accepted to the All Shore Chorus last year.  Samantha and Kat are auditioning for the first time.

"The students have been preparing for this audition since the start of the school year," says Mrs. Lillianne Torrente, Ranney’s choral director. “They have been focusing on perfecting scales, honing ensemble skills and mastering sight singing both in and outside of the Upper School Choral classroom.”

All State Chorus serves as the high school chorus for the entire state of New Jersey and All Shore Chorus serves as the regional chorus for high schoolers across Monmouth and Ocean Counties. If you are interested in November 15 performance tickets, please see Mrs. Torrente.

Update: Evan was accepted into the All Shore 2015-16 Chorus after auditioning November 21.
