Varsity Swimmers Place at County Champ Meet

Ranney's varsity swimmers performed at the top during the 2016 Monmouth County Championships.
The Varsity Swim team performed at the top during last weekend’s Monmouth County Championships in Neptune. "Our team has been working well together and motivating one another to reach their goals,” said Swim Coach and Ranney Aquatics Director Pete DeNoble. “The championship was a great meet to see where our team stands at the half-way point of the season. We know there is a lot of work still to be done, but there is a really positive vibe surrounding the team and we look forward to a strong finish.”

Placing at the meet were:
  • Sophomore Matt Chang: 50 Freestyle: 5th place and 100 Freestyle: 4th
  • Senior Kate Crilly: 50 Freestyle: 6th and 100 Freestyle: 8th
  • Senior Audra Smires: 50 Freestyle: 7th and 100 Freestyle: 5th
Overall, the Ranney girls placed 9th and the boys placed 16th against approximately 20 other schools.
