Students were proud to celebrate their reading, writing and public-speaking skills.
Lower School students were proud to celebrate their reading, writing and public-speaking skills this week through a series of publishing parties. Kindergartners in Mrs. Martinez’s class read aloud to one another short books that they wrote and illustrated about different animals. After each “book reading,” students in the classroom audience shared constructive feedback through compliments. View clip.
Down the hall, fourth-graders in Mrs. Bass’s class shared their group-published book, “If I Were President,” with their families. Each student wrote a full page and drew a picture about what they would do if president. Mrs. Bass connected the project to what the children are studying as part of Social Studies and the ongoing U.S. presidential election. View clip.
