Keenan, Ross Accepted into Prestigous Summer Programs
Juniors Shane Keenan and Jillian Ross will attend the Naval Academy Summer Seminar and NJ Governor's School, respsectively.
Congratulations to Shane Keenan, Class of 2017, on his admittance to the 2016 Naval Academy Summer Seminar (NASS). The fast-paced, week-long seminar provides rising high school seniors an opportunity to experience Naval Academy life in Annapolis, MD, including academics, physical training, athletics and leadership. Keenan will attend workshops on topics such as Computers & Naval Weapons Systems, Electrical & Biometrics Engineering, Ship Behavior in Waves, Ocean Engineering, Cyber Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Foreign Languages, Character Development, Martial Arts, Seamanship and Navigation, Nuclear Engineering and more.
Shane plays on Ranney’s Varsity soccer team and was named to the Shore Conference B Central All-Division team last fall.
Also this week, the Class of 2017's Jillian Ross learned that she has been accepted into the prestigious NJ Governor’s School of Engineering and Technology. She will attend the four-week, fully funded program this summer at Rutgers University!
Jillian participates on Ranney's award-winning Science Olympiad and Robotics teams.
