Golf Team, Johnson Compete at Tournament of Champions

The Varsity Boys' Golf Team traveled to Hopewell Valley Golf Club on May 23, 2016 to compete in the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions. The Panthers qualified for the tournament by finishing 2nd in the Non-Public B South Sectional Tournament the week prior at Mountain View Golf Club.  The competitors from Ranney included: Austin Dobrzynski '17, Rob Johnson '17, Varun Sikand '18 and Jacob Egol '19. In addition, junior Rob Johnson qualified to compete as an individual in the tournament due to his top-5 finish in the sectional event.
 
The tournament was comprised of the top two teams from each section in the state. In the state-wide overall team event, Ranney finished in 23rd place out of the 24 teams that qualified. Ranney finished in 4th place in the Non-Public B Division behind Oratory, St. Rose & Morristown-Beard. Individually, shooting a very impressive 79, Rob Johnson finished in an 8-way tie for the 41st spot in the state overall and in a 4-way tie for 7th place in Non-Public B.
