Sophomores Set New Bar for Ranney Runners

Varsity Cross Country team members ran in the mud and rain on October 1 in Holmdel Park as part of the New Balance Shore Coaches Invitational, reports Coach King.
 
Shana Fitzmaurice '19 and Olukayode Oladeji '19 took to the course with ease in the Girls Varsity E and Boys Varsity F races.  Shana ran 21:30 to medal in 8th place, and Kayode ran 18:51, his personal record for the course, to sprint to the finish line in 29th place to grab a medal. The girls' field had a total of 138 runners, the boys had 141.
 
Mia Glass '19 ran an impressive 22:48 in the Girls E, and Jackson Croke '19, ran just over his personal record with a 22:54 in Boys F.  These four sophomores, competing at the varsity level in a talented field, a setting a new high bar for Ranney runners.
 
In the freshman 3200, Carter Dibsie ran 16:14 in the boys Frosh C, and Olivia Knoop ran 18:36 in the girls Frosh B.
 
The  full team lines up against Pt. Beach on October 4, again at Holmdel Park.
