Academic Challenge Team Competes in Northeast; Egol Scores 13th out of 150

The Upper School's newly re-formed Academic Challenge Team competed for the first time on Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Long Island Fall Tournament XVI. Advised by English Department Chair Doug Felter, the team won five games against some of the most competitive teams in the northeast. The students had to answer questions across all disciplines.

Scoring was led by sophomore Jacob Egol, who finished 13th out of a field of 150 despite only playing in two of three of eligible games. Team members included Captain Greg Marx '17, Seth Marx '20, Paul Jensen '18, Tommy Jensen '20, and Varun Sikand '18.

This team went to Nationals every year from 2009-2013 and is happy to be active again.
