Percussionist Cole Redman Makes All-Shore Jazz Band

Sophomore Cole Redman of West Long Branch has been awarded the percussion spot in the All-Shore "B" Jazz Band. Over the next few weeks, he will rehearse and perform with other young musicians from Monmouth and Ocean Counties, leading up to a February 4, 2017 concert.

Cole, who has been a member of Ranney’s band since he was in the Lower School, will be responsible for the auxiliary percussion, which includes congas, the shaker, and other percussion instruments. "I'm very proud of Cole making it into the All Shore Jazz Band,” says Ranney All-School Band Director John Propper. “He is a dedicated music student who has been working to grow as a percussionist.  I wish him luck over the next two weeks, and I'm looking forward to watching him perform!"
