Bake Sale & Polar Plunge to Benefit ALS Programs

The Upper School Community Service Club is holding a bake sale throughout the week of January 30 to benefit the Joan Dancy & PALS Foundation, which supports individuals suffering from ALS by trying to improve their quality of life. Leading the cause is sophomore Chris Autino, whose mother was diagnosed with ALS in 2014.  “The Joan Dancy & PALS Foundation has been by my family’s side the whole time helping us when needed and getting my mother the correct care she needs,” he said.

The foundation is holding its 11th annual ALS Valentine’s Plunge this Saturday, February 4. More info can be found at  https://ssl.charityweb.net/joandancyandpals/valentineplunge/chrisautino.htm

After the events, Chris noted: "I am very pleased to say that we raised $1,030 this week between the bake sale and donations. I am proud to be a part of such a supportive and generous community. Thank you all so much."
