Mangano, Kokes Win State Prep Fencing Championship
Sophomore Ariana Mangano of Colts Neck took 1st in the 24th Annual NJISAA Prep Fencing State Championship in Epee individual and freshman Gabrielle Kokes of Manasquan took 2nd in individual Foil. Mangano, who holds multiple district, state, and national records, also won the Epee title at the 2016 championship. The February 13 tournament was held on Ranney's campus for the second year in a row.
Nine boys' teams and eight girls' teams from around the state competed in round-robin play for overall titles, weapons quad titles, and individual weapon titles. St. Benedicts Prep won the Boys' Overall Team Title and Princeton Day School won the Girls' Overall Team title.
