Andrew Pepe & Brandon Stobie Honored by Center for Talented Youth

Two Ranney sixth-graders are being honored this spring by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY). Each year, CTY identifies and develops the talents of the most advanced K-12 learners worldwide. Children who receive qualifying scores can participate in the center’s online or in-person summer programs and courses.

Andrew Pepe has been awarded High Honors for his above-grade level, nation-wide mathematics score. Brandon Stobie is being honored for his test scores on the above grade-level qualification exam.

Now in sixth-grade, Andrew took the above-grade-level qualification test last year. He scored higher than 95% of the eighth-grade norm nationwide for mathematics. He will be attending the CTY awards ceremony at Columbia University on June 4, while Brandon is attending an award ceremony May 13 at Rowan University.

In 2014, Grace Nivera ’23 was honored by CTY for her academic testing scores.
