Varsity Girls' Soccer Team Posts 6-1 Victory to Advance to NJSIAA Non Public B South State Tournament Quarterfinals

The varsity girls’ soccer team defeated Calvary Christian 6-1 in the NJSIAA Non Public B South State Tournament first round on Tuesday.

The win against Calvary Christian advances the Panthers to the NJSIAA Non Public B South Quarterfinals. Ranney will play Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Newfield, NJ on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 1:00 p.m. The winner will advance to the NJSIAA Non Public B South Semifinals, facing the winner of Rutgers Prep and Wardlaw Hartridge.

“The girls really came to play,” said Head Coach Sheree Dillard. “You could tell that they didn’t want their season to be over. They were very focused, and that was clear from the end result,” said Dillard.

Senior Abby Boyan, who has committed to play soccer at the University of Georgia, scored her 100th career.  “It’s a great accomplishment,” said Dillard. “Not many high school players reach 100 goals and she definitely worked hard for it. She is a great player with a bright future in the soccer world and it has been an honor to coach her and watch her impressive work ethic and dedication.”
