Ranney Golf Team Places Third at Shore Conference Tournament

With a score of 320, Ranney boys' golf finished third at the Shore Conference Tournament, behind CBA (298) and Rumson-Fair Haven (318) at the par-72, 6,500-yard Charleston Spring Golf Course in Millstone Township. Ryan Pongrac (72) finished second, with it coming down to a third playoff hole. 

Rohan Sikand shot a 78, 

"Ryan has been amazing both on and off the course. He has averaged right about par in our six matches, leading us to a 6-0 record. But more importantly he is a leader to the rest of the team, constantly encouraging them and helping them in every way he can. His performance today, shooting 72, and losing in a three-hole playoff isn't surprising at all. He is a competitor and one of the top golfers, not only in the Shore conference, but in the state," said Ranney head coach Michael Butler. "Last week at the Monmouth County Tournament, he just couldn't get going, the weather was definitely tough, and he isn't used to playing much tournament golf in those conditions, but scrapped out an 82. I fully expect more great things from him."
