National History Bee and Bowl Team Qualifies Additional Members for Nationals

The NJ State Championships in the National History Bee and Bowl were held on Saturday, January 19th. This competition had the largest field of any tournament other than the National Championships, with almost 90 teams from as far away as West Virginia.

At the tournament, a Varsity team consisting of co-captains Jacob Egol '19 and Seth Marx '20, along with Alex Senderov '20 and Olivia Knoop '20, reached octofinals and qualified a second Varsity team for History Bowl Nationals in April. Jacob Egol, who already qualified for Nationals in the December tournament in individual competition along with two other teammates, reached the final round of 8 students in the History Bee. Newcomer Elizabeth Wright '22 qualified for Nationals in the US History Bee competition, and will be joining five previous qualifiers from the Ranney team.
