Sam Novotny '20 Chosen for All-Shore Jazz "A" Band

The Ranney School Performing Arts Department is proud to announce that Sam Novotny ‘20 had a successful audition on Tuesday, Jan. 22, resulting in a selection to the All-Shore Jazz  "A" Band on Bass Guitar.  Sam auditioned at Holmdel High School and played a prepared piece and a sight reading example to reach the highest band.  
 
Sam is a member of the Jazz Combo, the Orchestra, Electric Bow Fusion, and The Chamber Music Club.  The All-Shore performance will be held on Saturday, February 9th at Ocean High School.  
 
“Sam deserves congratulations, as it was a very competitive field this year,” said All-School Band Director Mr. John Propper. “We all applaud his effort and look forward to hearing his performance!”
