Artwork created by Michaela Basile '28 was chosen to be featured by People Spread Love for the organization's 2026 PSL Starter Kits. PSL hosts an Art Contest for both adults and children to enter to win a cash prize and a dozen of their winning art on a greeting card. They curate the kits with the winning designs and pull in unique elements into each kit from working artists all over the country.
People Spread Love is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps connect and facilitate letter writing to community members that are facing adversity. The act of writing letters to others is a way to express support and help meet the need for human connection.
The PSL Starter Kit program empowers community volunteers to participate at home, in the classroom, or in a community setting with basic necessary supplies to ignite curiosity in the act of writing letters to those that are facing adversity all across the country. The PSL Starter Kit program also amplifies artists, both working artists and aspiring.

Founder and Executive Director Heather DeVine asked to purchase the rights to Michaela's work as it was selected to be in the PSL Starter Kit as a greeting card / postcard.
