Track and Field Posts Impressive Performance at Pre B Championship

The Ranney School varsity track and field team had an impressive showing at the Prep B Championships in Newark, NJ this week. 

Zoe Keefe '25 ran a 2:24 and captured second place in the 800. 

Daniel Zheng '26 ran a personal record 4:38 in the 1600, capturing second place.  

Jason Meng '26 ran a PR 1:07 in the 400m hurdles and placed third, and also placed eighth in the 800 with a 2:20. 

Emma Lawson '27 ran a personal record (PR) 1:19.00 in the 400m hurdles, placing sixth overall. She also ran a PR 2:46 in the 800. 

Patrick Bryne '27 ran a 5:38 in the 1600, placing 12th. 

Claire Vitucci-Napurano '28 ran a PR 5:29 in the 1600. 

On the thrower's side, Mario Reyes '28 threw a PR 90 feet in discus, placing seventh. He also placed 8th in the shot put with a throw of 31 feet 9 inches. 

Leighanaa Jones '25 threw 25 feet in shot put and 66 feet 7 inches in discus, placing 8th in both.
