Alden Rose' 23 Qualifies as Biology Olympiad Semifinalist
For the second year in a row, Alden Rose '23 qualified as a semifinalist in the 2023 USA Biology Olympiad, placing in the top 10% of over 3305 students who took the Open Exam in February.
Alden qualified for the second round of the competition. The USA Biology Olympiad is the premiere biology competition for high school students in the United States and selects the US team that will compete in the International Biology Olympiad each year.
"This is a tremendous achievement for Alden to have reached the Semifinals for two consecutive years," said Dr. Roxanne Spencer, Ranney School Science Department Chair.
