Baseball Earns First State Tournament Win in Program History

After falling behind 4-0 early, the Panthers rallied for 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th to tie the game. Senior Jacob Field stepped to the plate in a 4-4 game in the 5th inning with 2 outs and launched a solo HR to give Ranney the lead. In the bottom of the 6th, Senior Cole Redman drew a 2 out walk followed by a perfectly executed slash and run by sophomore Dev Bhatnagar. Freshman Brett Wehringer followed with a 2-run single that proved to be the gamewinner. Wehringer came into pitch in the 2nd inning with 1 out and ended up turning in 5 2/3 innings yielding 0 earned runs while striking out 7 batters to notch the win.
This was the first state tournament win in program history for the Panthers who move to 11-8 on the season.
