The Ranney School Art Honors Society won First Place for their Crop Walk Banner on Sunday, October 20. All of the students involved worked hard to create a beautiful painting (3' x 8') on the theme of "Step Up to End Hunger."
Each year the annual CROP Hunger Walk encourages students to contribute a poster or banner to help raise awareness about the issues surrounding hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. Food insecurity, lack of clean water, proper sanitation, and safe shelter are all part of what people experience. The contest allows students to express how they feel about important issues. High School students were encouraged to focus on Stepping Up to End Hunger cause by climate change, which impacts water and agriculture. More information can be found here.
Our mission is to know and value every child, nurturing intellectual curiosity and confidence, and inspiring students to lead honorably, think creatively, and contribute meaningfully to society.
