Maya Jacoby '22 Selected to NJ All-Shore Chorus
Congratulations to Maya Jacoby on being selected to represent Ranney School, one of 16 schools, as a member of the 2020-21 NJ All-Shore Chorus.
"Maya definitely excelled having to navigate an audition process that was entirely virtual," said Mr. Todd Christopher, Ranney School Choral Director. To be considered, Maya was tasked with creating videos of herself performing scales, arpeggios, a solo, and the most difficult part, singing her soprano vocal line as part of a virtual choir.

To be considered, Maya was tasked with creating videos of herself performing scales, arpeggios, a solo, and the most difficult part, singing her soprano vocal line as part of a virtual choir.
The All-Shore Board is still planning how the chorus will perform this year. Music will be sent out virtually in January and if in-person rehearsals and a live concert are not possible, a virtual setting is being developed.
"Vocal music has really been difficult during this time but I am excited Maya decided to still be a part of this ensemble," said Mr. Christopher.
