Ranney seniors Alexis Connolly and Christopher Tomasetta have been selected as 2009-2010 National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) Scholars.
The NHRP was created in 1983 to identify outstanding Hispanic/Latino high school students. This year, the NHRP recognized nearly 5,000 students selected from a pool of over 200,000 Hispanic/Latino students who took the 2008 PSAT and identified themselves as Hispanic/Latino. Students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher are designated Scholars, and those with GPAs of 3.0 to 3.49 as Honorable Mentions.
“We are delighted that two of our students have been recognized for their academic excellence by this prestigious program,” said Head of School Dr. Lawrence S. Sykoff.
Both Alexis and Christopher received award certificates from the NHRP for their outstanding scholarship.
