It was another banner year for Varsity Girls’ Tennis, as recently highlighted in The Star-Ledger. The New Jersey newspaper released its State Tennis Rankings, recognizing the Ranney team and several of its players for their outstanding performances this fall. The season resulted in Ranney’s 4th place ranking in Monmouth County, right behind Holmdel High School, Red Bank Catholic and Marlboro High School, and 10th place ranking in New Jersey Non-Public B, behind Red Bank Catholic, Villa Walsh and Montclair Kimberly, among others.
In addition, the Ledger selected 10th graders Melissa Cantave and Natalie Cantave for the Second Team All-Monmouth and senior, Laura Church, who won her 4th consecutive State Prep B title this year, was highlighted in the Ledger’s "Around the Shore Conference" article.
