National Art Honor Society 50th Anniversary Mural: A work in progress

The National Art Honor Society has begun the monumental task of remembering and celebrating the 50 years of Ranney School through the powerful medium of public art.

The National Art Honor Society has begun the monumental task of remembering and celebrating the 50 years of Ranney School through the powerful medium of public art. An 18’ mural is in progress and will be unveiled and dedicated to the school as part of the Ranney Visions Exhibition during the weekend of the Ranney Voices performance. Portraits, images of children and teachers, the rise of new buildings and the development of the arts are the focus of the mural. The mural is a surprise and a gift to the school from the National Art Honor Society students who are designing, drawing, and painting it. Art students from all three divisions will assist.

In order to keep their progress secret until the unveiling, only small pieces of the mural are show here.
