Ranney School Honored for Excellence by NAIS and JSPRAA
Ranney School recently received high honors from two prestigious organizations, the National Association of Independent Schools and the Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association.
The 2012 NAIS Conference team selected two proposals from Ranney School for its upcoming national conference in Seattle, one entitled “Strategic Philanthropy: the New Sustainability” and the second, “Transformative Communications: Advocacy, Admissions and Advancement.” The selection process is highly competitive, as NAIS received more than 1,000 proposals nationwide and selected about 120. With Bill Gates being the opening keynote speaker, NAIS anticipates the conference to yield more than 3,500 independent school leaders and colleagues. Presenters from Ranney will include Head of School Dr. Lawrence S. Sykoff and Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications Valerie Francois. The conference will take place at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, February 29 – March 2. The theme is INNOVATION: Imagine, Invent, Inspire, Dream. NAIS represents approximately 1,400 independent schools and associations in the United States, and affiliates with independent schools abroad as well.
Ranney School has also just received 11 nominations from the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association (JSPRAA) in the following categories: Annual Report (Print Material); Senior Video for Senior Celebration (TV/Video) Special Programming; Commencement Address 2011 (Excellence in Writing, Speech); Ranney Life 2011 (Excellence in Writing, Special Purpose); Ranney Beacon (Electronic Communications, Electronic Publication); Lawrence Sykoff’s Webcast of Strategic Initiatives (winner in two categories: Electronic Communications, Webcast and Electronic Communications, Multimedia); Ranney Summer Programs (Special Purpose Print Material, Catalogue); Open House Commercial (TV/Internet Video TV); Ranneyland Poster (Imagery, Commercial Illustration); and the Heart Screenings for Athletes Press Release (Excellence in Writing, News Release).
Since 2006, Ranney School has received 31 JASPER Awards for excellence in communications. This year represents the most awards won in any given year, according to Director of Publications and Multimedia Kristin Geisler. The 37th Annual JASPER Awards represent the height of excellence across 100 competitive categories within Advertising, Public Relations & Design. Since 1974, the JASPERs have recognized excellence in the communications industry. On Friday, October 14th, the Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association will celebrate New Jersey's top communications professionals at the PNC Garden State Arts Center.
