Show Your Panther Pride at the 16th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic

Join fellow parents, alumni and friends of the Ranney community for an exciting day on the course and courts of Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck, as we host the 16th Annual Ranney Golf and Tennis Classic on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

Always a crowd-pleaser, the Classic promises to be a fantastic afternoon of long drives, ace serves and Ranney Panther Pride. Parents and friends can join the fun in a variety of ways:
  • -Take to the links for 18 holes of golf on an expertly manicured course;
  • -hit the courts for an exhilarating round robin tennis match;
  • -serve as a volunteer the day of the outing by watching for a hole-in-one;
  • -play mahjong or bridge in the clubhouse in the afternoon;
  • -attend the awards dinner reception and participate in the silent auction;
  • -or support the event through a family or company sponsorship.
There will be contests on the course and courts, including:
  • -“Beat the Panther,” challenging golfers to out-drive one of our varsity golf team members, one of our golf team coaches, and our very own pro, Ranney alumnus Charlie Kromann ’01. Tennis players will have a similar opportunity on the courts for a “Beat the Panther” challenge;
  • -test your skills on the course in Par-3 competitions, with the chance to win 2012 season tickets to the Lakewood Blue Claws or the $10,000 Headmaster’s Hole-In-One Challenge;
  • -join the bidding during a lively silent auction that includes foursomes to local courses, Cherry-T tennis bags, sports camps, restaurants, an autographed NY Jets football and more;
  • -and much more to come.
As an added bonus this year, the grade level with the most parent participation in the event will receive a dress-down day and an ice cream sundae party.

This year’s outing also acknowledges two families, who have long-supported the Ranney Classic and community through their time and efforts - Karl and Barbara Brand - through their company, Brand Aromatics - and Peter and Kristen Gerhard. To learn more about our honorees, please visit the Golf and Tennis Classic page.

Funds raised by the Classic are directed through the Ranney Annual Fund to support athletic and physical education programs at Ranney, as well as the health and wellness of our Panther student-athletes. Click here to register online, or to review the information packet, please click here.
