Middle School Holds Forensics Showcase

The Middle School hosted its annual Forensics Showcase in RSPA Panther Hall on Friday, December 2, 2011. With various members throughout the Ranney community in attendance, the event not only served as an exposition highlighting the many talents of student-performers, but also as a means of commending the hard work put in by each forensics coach.

On behalf of the Middle School division, Ranney’s Head of School Lawrence S. Sykoff, Ed.D. and Middle School Head David Fischer presented coaches Allison Reddington, Amelia Caverly, Lily Torrente and John Doyle with plaques acknowledging their success and services to the program.

A special commendation plaque was also given to Middle School Forensics Program Coordinator Nancy Wade, who has devoted 17 years of leadership to the forensics program thus far. Aside from the Athletic Department, Ranney’s Forensics club represents the only other group on campus to have earned more than 400 awards in the past 17 years — 125 of which honor first place rankings.

Hosted by narrators Peri Rohl ’16 and Rachel Staats ’16, Friday evening granted all Rumson Country Day School Forensics Festival winners and each remaining eighth grade forensics student the opportunity to showcase his or her work. Congratulations to the following performers:
