Summer Brochure 2013 Now Available Online!


As the summer extension of Ranney School, Summer Programs at Ranney School offer a wide range of academic, gifted and talented and fine and performing arts talent development courses as well as full-day Day Camp for 3 to13-year-olds; Trip Camps for 10 to13-year-olds; a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program for 14-year-olds; and a number of Sports Camps. The Sports Camps offerings include: Basketball, Fencing, Soccer and Tennis for 8 to13-year-olds; Boys’ Lacrosse for 9 to13-year-olds; half-day Golf for 6 to10-year-olds and full-day Golf for 11 to 14-year-olds; and Swimming for 8 to18-year-olds.
 
Combining morning classes and afternoon Day Camp is a popular choice for many families. Our fully-accredited Day Camp is licensed by the state of New Jersey and accredited by the American Camp Association, whose high standards cover all aspects of summer camp operation, including: staffing, safety, facilities, trips, sport activities, and cafeteria and pool operations.

Our dynamic programs build upon and expand a child’s experiential base of knowledge by emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach to learning through curiosity, inquiry, discovery and creative expression. These highly engaging learning experiences support individual student growth by building skills, and by preventing what is commonly referred to as “summer slide,” - that is, the loss of academic skills over the summer. Summer time also provides opportunities for innovative teaching methods and special learning experiences that go beyond “grades” to make learning over the summer fun, highly personalized, individually relevant and transformational!
