Max Kyrillos ’18 Performs at PNC Bank Arts Center

Max Kyrillos ’18 (Middletown) and his band, The Stone Bullets, performed on stage at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel on September 19. The band was the opening act for the Garden State Arts Center Foundation concert featuring the legendary Gary Puckett, along with Tommy James and the Shondells.

The Stone Bullets, a New Jersey rock band that formed in the winter of 2011, was put together by the owner and director of The Musician’s Studio in Red Bank, NJ, Robert Grieco. Band members include Ranney’s Max Kyrillos (lead guitarist) and local high school students Steve Ansell (bass), Mikey Pianoforte (drums) and Charlie Weisman (vocalist). The band members love the art of playing music and bringing joy to people through their work. In addition to their performance at the PNC Bank Arts Center, the group has also played at many charity events and parties.

“Playing at PNC was the most exhilarating feeling I have ever experienced,” said Max. “I have gone to many concerts there to see my favorite bands play and being able to play on that same stage is a true honor. I will always remember my time on that stage and will always cherish it.”

The Stone Bullets are looking forward to performing more gigs and will take on the legendary Stone Pony stage in Asbury Park in November.
