Winter Track Team Readies for NJSIAA Group Championship

Top-10 finishes earned at Prep B Track Championship.
Points were scored, school records fell and top-10 finishes were recorded as the Panthers competed at the NJISAA Prep B Track Championships at Lawrenceville on February 6, 2016.
 
Marc Greenstein '18 scored twice for Ranney, finishing 6th in the 55 dash and fourth in the 400, winning his heat and hitting a personal record time of 56.36.  Missing the medals by five-hundredths of a second in the 200, Marc was 7th with a school record time of 24.91. Mo Odunlami '16 finished 10th in the 55. Ethan Brandon '19 and Fabio Tessiore '19 came in 9th and 10th, respectively in the 400.  In the boys 4x400 relay, Ethan Brandon '19 led off with a personal record of 59.73, breaking the one minute barrier for the first time in the 400.
 
Olivia Metzger '19 and Mia Glass '19 smashed the Ranney girls 1600 record, both breaking into the 5s, running 5:52.46 and 5:56.66 to finish second and third in their heat, and ending 9th and 10th overall. In the girls 55 dash, Athena Dookie '16 finished in 10th place.
 
The team heads to the Shore Coaches Last Chance Meet on February 10, followed by the NJSIAA Group Championship on February 20.
