An Update from our Musical Alums

Class of 2014 finding success in composition.
An update from our musical alums: The Class of 2014’s Brandon Flynn has created a soundtrack for a Public Service Announcement to be released this month. The music video from the Motion Picture Boys Will Be Boys can be heard on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWnz9KMXQJw. He composed the music and recorded all the instrumental and vocal parts for the PSA. Brandon is currently studying at Belmont. While at Ranney, he took AP Music Theory and played bass in the Upper School orchestra. Brandon returned to campus over winter break to give our first graders a piano demo!

Anthony Dennis, also a Class of 2014 grad, is continuing his studies at Oberlin, where he is pursuing film composition. At Ranney, Anthony was a member of the orchestra and served as co-president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He wrote several arrangements for the student group, including his original work, Rush of the Sea Turtles. He recently rescored a film written by his collegiate composition teacher and is singing in Oberlin’s Musical Union choir.
