Students Raise Funds to Support Syrian Refugee Schools

Upper School Global Citizens Signature Program students are hosting a pinwheel-making event during lunch the week of April 25 in support of Syrian Refugee Schools. Ranney community members are encouraged to stop by and put a message for a middle school student on your pinwheel before assembling it. The Bezos Family Foundation will donate $2 per each pinwheel submitted. Learn more about the cause.

The global leadership group, which participated in a live webinar with students at a refugee camp last week in preparation for the event, will also be working with Ranney's fifth-grade class on April 29 to make additional pinwheels as part of their fundraiser.

Our mission is to know and value every child, nurturing intellectual curiosity and confidence, and inspiring students to lead honorably, think creatively, and contribute meaningfully to society.

We envision Ranney School as a nurturing learning community, in which families, faculty, alumni, and all of Ranney’s constituents collaborate to know and value every child, foster individual talents, sustain powerful connections between children and adults, and graduate resilient, globally-minded citizens.
