Promise of the Future Student Award - Will Zheng
Junior Will Zheng received the Promise of the Future Student Award from the Network of Educators in Science and Technology in association with M.I.T. He was nominated by Robotics Advisor and Computer Science Faculty member Chiara Shah, who is a member of the Network and recently participated in professional development training at M.I.T.
The award recognizes a student who, through personal initiative, has done the most to promote the awareness of science or technology, and honors the future potential of the student.
“Will participated in every Robotics Program service event this past year, from Fall Festival to VEX IQ and VRC competitions to the Maker Faire at the Toms River Library to helping local Girls Scouts program robots as part of a school-offered workshop," said Mrs. Shah. “I have never seen anyone more committed and I literally cannot imagine Ranney Robotics without Will Zheng!”
