Rebekah Lo Wins Most Outstanding Poem; RSVP Earns Top Honors 2nd Year in Row

Ranney’s Upper School Literary Magazine, RSVP, won a First Place with Special Merit and Most Outstanding Private School Literary-Art Magazine for the second year in a row. In addition to the 2015 and 2016 edition  accolades, senior Rebekah Lo of Ocean also won Most Outstanding Poem for her authorship of Caustic Acquaintance in last spring’s edition.

“I've been writing poetry for several years as a concealed hobby but have been honing in on my abilities in the last year or two,” says Rebekah. “My poem never would have been written without two English teachers’ help. Not only have I been so lucky to have Mrs. Fernandez and Mrs. Patient as English teachers, but also as writing advisors for poems, music, and essays.”

Although Rebekah says she’ll never leave writing behind, she intends to pursue medicine or dentistry as she heads off to college next year. Rebekah also plays cello for the Ranney Upper School orchestra.
