Indoor Track Competes at Non-Public Group Champs; Greenstein Sets School Record, Heads to Meet of Champions

The NJSIAA Non-Public Group Championships on February 18 proved to be another Ranney run for the records. Marc Greenstein '18 sprinted to a 3rd place in the 400, setting a new Ranney record, and becoming Ranney's first-ever winter track athlete to qualify for the NJSIAA Indoor Meet of Champions, which will be held February 25 at the Bubble in Toms River. Marc's time of 54:03 erases the prior record held by Ryan Eaddy '15. Marc, who also holds school records in the 200 and 55, was one of the top-seeded runners in the 55 dash, but withdrew to focus on the 400.

Also in the 400, Matthew Wrigley '20 ran to a personal record, while Ethan Brandon '19 ran his best time of the season. Matthew also ran the 55, finishing just .01 second off his personal best.

Shreyan Nageswaran ‘20 lopped 10 seconds off his time in the 1600, ending his season with a personal record.

Charlie Fabricant '19 rounded out his Ranney track and field season with a 7.62 55-dash and a shotput toss of 31'.  Charlie leaves his mark on the record board with the school record in the shot, at 32'11".

Kayla Conley '18 finished out the season with a personal best run in the 55, at 9.75. Olivia Knoop '20 competed in the 1600 as well.
