Track & Field Heads to Group Championships

Just 24 hours after receiving his diploma, new Ranney grad Liam Fitzmaurice stepped to the starting line at the NJSIAA Sectional Championships in the 1600, finishing in 7th Place to qualify for this week's NJSIAA Group Championships at Northern Regional High School. Liam returned to the start on Saturday, May 27, to take a medal and 6th Place in the 800, also qualifying for group.
 
Heading to group with Liam will be Shana Fitzmaurice '19 in the 1600 and 800, and Olukayode Oladeji '19 in the 800.  Kayode ran a personal record of 2:09.06 to finish right behind Liam in 7th place.
 
Yizhou Sam Shan ’19 and Xin Joe Nan ’18 both completed in the 100 dash on Friday, May 26, as well, with each running for a personal record, and Mia Glass ’19 finishing an awesome 1600.
