Ranney MS Jr. Tri-M Wins Chapter of the Year Scholarship

Ranney Middle School Jr. TRI-M Chapter 4410 placed second (first runner-up) in the global 2022-2023 Jr. chapter of the year competition.  The official TRI-M office recognizes only three Jr. chapters in this competition.   The Ranney chapter was awarded $600.00 to support and continue their work supporting the community.  This is the second year in a row that Chapter 4410 has placed in the top three globally and has a long history of success over its twenty years of service.  
 
The 2022-23 Jr. TRI-M activities were highlighted by traditional initiatives such as the coffee houses, penny wars, and candy grams.  The chapter also launched and developed newer initiatives, such as collaborating with Opportunity Music Project and the winter dance.  Their collaboration with OMP sponsored music lessons for 23 students from NYC and brought them to Ranney's Spring Concert to perform side-by-side with the Middle School Orchestra.  
 
"This accolade would only be possible with the hard work of our members, executive board, administration, and sponsor," said Mr. John Propper, Advisor.  "Chapter 4410's members meet specific academic, musical, and character criteria for membership and are inducted during our yearly ceremony.  We look forward to convening our award-winning chapter activities in the fall."
