New State-of-the-Art Spaces

This summer, we have made many investments in our campus and programs to continue to provide an exceptional educational experience for your children. As we celebrate the opening of these spaces and the generous support of our community, we also want to take a moment to highlight the transformative impact that our parents and alumni are making in the life of our school.
ALUMNI FAMILIES GIVE BACK
We are proud that alumni are increasingly getting involved and contributing to the educational experience of our students. From mentoring and internships to investment in academic programs and state-of-the-art facilities, our alumni are making a significant impact. As we start the new school year, we celebrate the opening of exciting new spaces generously championed by Preet Bharara '86, Vinit S. Bharara '89, and Hilary Kramer '82.

Lt. Timothy Coyne Guardhouse
As you enter campus, you'll notice the new entry complex with a more spacious guardhouse and enhanced security capabilities as well as a separate heated pavilion for student drop-off and pick-up. Hilary Kramer '82 (Shia Coyne ('23), Timmy Coyne '28) inspired this new, multi-layered approach to campus security in memory of her late husband and Ranney parent, Lt. Timothy Coyne.

We will celebrate this new facility at a ribbon-cutting event on Monday, September 11 at 5pm. Tim Coyne was a sergeant with the NYPD in Lower Manhattan and later a lieutenant. He also served at the World Trade Center site following 9/11. The program dedicating this space also includes the honoring of first responders, led by Board Trustee Dr. Niraj Govil '85, who served as a doctor at the World Trade Center site.

Bharara Family Library & Learning Commons
Ranney has created a new 2,000 sq. ft. library and learning commons in the Lower School wing featuring a variety of flexible spaces designed to promote a love of reading. The space will also promote an understanding of research and digital technologies, including a new podcast booth. Past Trustee and parents, Dr. and Mrs. Jagdish Bharara, along with their sons, Preet Bharara '86 and Vinit S. Bharara '89, championed this new space with a lead gift.

We will celebrate the new library at a ribbon-cutting event on Sunday, September 17 at 1pm. The Ranney community is invited to join Preet Bharara '86 for a reading of his children's book Justice Is... and stay for a conversation with the Bharara brothers, along with their father, about the power of curiosity and resilience.

INNOVATING RANNEY'S PROGRAMS

Cantin Family Finance Lab
This fall, we are proud to have the opportunity to open a new finance lab that includes 12 Bloomberg terminals and a live stock ticker located in the former Multimedia Center in the Paulus Library. The new Cantin Family Finance Lab is championed by lead donor David Cantin (David Cantin '29) and will house a new Upper School Finance Class as well as opportunities for students to participate in stock and investment clubs, conduct research, and obtain a Bloomberg Markets Certification. We will celebrate this new lab at a ribbon-cutting event on Thursday, September 28 at 4:30pm.

Our students will also enjoy the new Panther Bites Patio, donated by the Class of 2023 and their parents, while they are having snacks from the Panther Bites food truck. Students will find all of these upgrades and more as they come back to campus. We can't wait to welcome them!

Please email events@ranneyschool.org to RSVP for these events.
