Samson Landers '26 Earns a Place in Final Qualifying for the U.S. Open Championship
Samson Landers '26 accomplished something very few high school golfers have ever done. On April 27, at Fairmount Country Club in Chatham, he made it through local qualifying for the US Open Golf Tournament.
He will now play 36 holes against current PGA Tour players and Korn Ferry players with a chance to make the US Open at Shinnecock Hills.

Sammy shot a 2 under 70 and made his first ever hole in one on the 190 yard 4th hole.
USGA President Kevin Hammer and Chief Executive Officer Michael Whan sent a congratulatory message that said, "Congratulations on earning a place in Final Qualifying for the 126th U.S. Open Championship. The most elite players from around the world annually vie for a place in the championship. The United States Golf Association wishes you all the best in Final Qualifying and in your quest to become the next U.S. Open Champion."
