Sloane Paulus '27 Ranked in the Top Five Nationally in Foil
Sloane Paulus '27 spent part of spring break competing at the Junior and Cadet World Championships for fencing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Junior and Cadet World Championships is the last competition on the international calendar when the world’s top Junior (U20) and Cadet (U17) fencers compete.
This year, Sloane competed in Junior and Cadet World Cups in Istanbul, Turkey; Lima, Peru; Samorin, Slovakia; Tbilisi, Georgia; Hammamet, Tunisia; and San Jose, Costa Rica. She won two Bronze medals and completed the international season as the world No. 4 ranked foil fencer under 17, and 33rd for the under 20 grouping.
