Lynn Hawkins to be Honored at Building Hope for Children Gala

At this year’s Building Hope for Children Gala, Ranney Lower School Administrative Assistant Lynn Hawkins will be honored with the Kathy Foster Spirt of Service Award.

Lynn’s journey of service began at Casa de Esperanza when she was just 21 years old. What started as a volunteer internship as a houseparent became a life-shaping mission, as she witnessed firsthand how patience, safety, and genuine care can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

The lessons Lynn learned at Casa de Esperanza homes stayed with her for over 25 years, eventually inspiring her and her daughter to found Pinwheel Place—a crisis nursery dedicated to supporting families during times of stress. By bringing a piece of the Casa mission to her own community, Lynn has proven that when children are surrounded by stability and love, hope truly takes root.

Lynn's incredible legacy of service and her commitment to changing the lives of children and families in need.
